Living in the Wilderness

Neighbor’s night cam captured this a few nights ago around 6pm. ????????. Then, a few days later the neighbor’s cat went missing. Then a dog down the street. We stopped letting Bandit or Presley go outside alone. Another one of our neighbors decided to track the kitty and found it in the culvert at the end of the block. After fish and game scared the ooor thing to death with flares and rubber bullets, it finally left Zinc Spur! Made for an exciting few weeks!

Good morning Sun Valley

This is the perk of having to get kids to ski team by 8am on a Saturday....

Skyler’s qualifying race in Grand Targhee

Grand Targhee with Skyler for her North Series Race. Day two was cancelled so we had to powder ski. ????????

It’s gonna be her year!

Big milestone today skiing down Warm Springs with Presley. ???? ???? ????

Down for the count

Started with Presley, then Skyler, then Liam. I have to admit, I kind of like that they are all home needing me. Their red cheeks just kill me though. Influenza A was confirmed today. :(

Santa Pics

Every year in Seattle we would head to Bel Square for the daunting task of standing in line with three impatient kids in order to get our picture with Santa Claus. We have not missed a year. The problem in SV is that Santa doesn’t show up every single day of December. He actually only shows up 3 times and always on the weekends when the kids have 14 different activities already planned that I can barely keep track of! So...this year we had to get creative. Using Grandpa Teddy’s costume, Liam saved the day. It is, by far, my favorite Santa picture yet (with a close second being last year’s with Gpa).

The perks of being on sabbatical!

Started my day at 9000 ft with this handsome guy! The sun was doing the craziest thing!

When did he become a teenager?

This picture is crazy. I feel like he has become a man overnight. He is now taller than my mom and weighs over 100 lbs!!!

KPals

Now that Presley has moved to the Community School and is in a class of 9 with 2 teachers, she is absolutely thriving!  She loves it.  One of the best parts is that Liam, now in 5th grade, gets to be her Kindergarten pal!  Today they did a hike up Dollar Mountain together.  Apparently, Liam carried her the large majority of it.  Her teacher captured this picture...

Later on in the day, she was upset about going to ballet without her favorite leotard and she wanted Liam...to comfort her and also to watch her whole practice.  :)  She loves him SO much.
