That’s a wrap on Middle School for Liam!

I am really having a hard time believing I now have a high schooler! I am so proud of Liam for how far he has come since moving to Sun Valley on 5th grade. The last few years have been so tough on the kids with the masks and the online learning and the transitions! But Liam persevered and I saw him shine this last year. His confidence is up, he tries hard in school, he has good friends, and he ended the year with a solid sense of who he is. He is ready for high school! We are so proud of you LJ!

Liam BEATS his dad and uncle at golf

Liam, Leif and Mike played golf together today and Liam took the win!

Liam and Mike have been taking weekly lessons at the Valley Club and, holy smokes, you can tell! LJ is making huge strides. It is such a cool activity that they share together and it has been really special for them to get weekly quality time together.

Just the other day, Liam hit the pin from 160 yards out! Can you imagine if he got his first hole on one at age 14!? Come on Liam…let’s not peak too early!

Skyler’s soccer team WINS Boise Tournament

Talk about an exciting weekend! Skyler has been practicing so hard lately in anticipation of the Boise tournament we went to this weekend. Liam plays goalie in the front yard as she shoots at the goal again and again. She has improved both physically and mentally. And it showed this weekend!

Her team won the tournament bringing home sweatshirts and medals. Skyler had two goals over the weekend. One was a 20 yd cross kick that arched perfectly into the top left hand corner and the second was an easy kick in after faking out the goalie. The girls were on such a high!

Grandpa and grandma passing through!

Ted and Stephanie made a quick stop through on their way to Herron Island and we even convinced the kids to hike with us! Having them here made us all even more excited about being at Herron this summer!

Hemingway 90’s Parent Party

Let’s just say this was not your usual parent party! Leif and I had so much fun last night dressing up like we were still in the 90’s (let’s be honest - our style really hasn’t changed that much) and partying with our fellow elementary and middle school parents. We have found such a great community here! They raised $38k for the public school in one night. The highlight was Liam’s academic advisor doing a beer bong while the school secretary cheered her on. I love this school even more!

Cinderella

Presley has been practicing for weeks in preparation for the Cinderella ballet performance that took place last night. She wore her gorgeous smile the entire time she was on stage and nailed her routine. Even though her ballet instructor is a little scary, she has had a great time training with her friends. Probably good for her to have some strictness in her life. ☺️ she shined and her dad had roses for her at the end.

Presley gets her backflip

I have taught all three of my kiddos how to flip. I can now retire as a mother.

A White Easter

Easter Sunday started out a little shaky. Nothing like waking up to children arguing about who got more candy in their Easter baskets. Let’s just say I did not handle myself the best! But after that episode, it was smooth sailing. We had an Easter egg hunt here at the house with mimosas and friends. Then headed to the mountain to ski on closing day. Everyone was in costume and in great moods. There was even fresh snow!

Liam worked at Apples until 4 and then we all celebrated at the condo. Skyler and her friends dressed up and even got the very last Challenger chair of the year!

I was not dreaming of a white Easter but apparently I don’t get to choose!

Leif’s 100

Leif got his 100 days of skiing today so we celebrated with a mimosa! He has 424 days since we moved to Idaho. And yes…he is counting!!
