Oh Skyler
Skyler to Leif today after she calmed down from being upset about her race: “don’t blame me dad...my body is going through changes.” ????????
One on one with Presley
My friend stumbled upon this adorable couple at dinner last night. She snapped this picture before they knew she was there. I love presley's adoring look and how engaged Leif is with her. Plus the fact that she dressed in a skirt and combat boots despite the freezing weather. I pretty much love everything about this. We get so little time with them one on one that these moments are precious. Leif really is the best dad ever. ❤️❤️
M.O.S.S. Camp with Liam
Spent the week with Liam on his 6th grade trip to McCall digging snow pits, drilling ice holes in lakes, taking water measurements, drinking hot chocolate, playing truth or dare with the girls in my cabin and brainstorming ideas on how to solve some of their generation’s challenges. Suffice to say, I am feeling good about our future!
She’s cool
Me: “presley, I love your socks today...you look so cool.”
Presley: “that’s what I like to hear”.
Liam Freestyle Comps
Liam experiences his first taste of competition in freestyle skiing this weekend. Long days of skier cross and slope style. He did awesome despite having to compete against 13 year olds that had a good 40 lbs on him. The best part for me was getting to watch him in between the competitions have fun on the jumps and rails. I can't believe how much he has improved in the last year!
Liam’s Follower
After 4 days of skier cross and slope style competitions at Dollar, we were ready have Liam and things back to normal.
Third place finish today
Competing against her North Series teammates today, Skyler took 3rd place. What a rock star.
Hey kitty kitty
This year has been exceptionally scary with the multiple mountain lion sightings within a block of our house. So far a cat and dog have gone missing. We are totally freaked out that Bandit is being tracked...
Just yesterday, Leif amd Skyler, as they drove off to ski team at 7:30 am, saw a huge (~160 lb) male lion cross over Zinc Spur road right in front of them. Apparently the lion looked up and them, wasn't phased in the slightest, and continued on. Our neighbor tracked him into this culvert where fish and game tried to get him out of to not avail. He left at nightfall and has not been back.
Update as of a few days later: the male lion was spotted in Hailey and Fish and Game had to shoot it as it was getting way too comfortable around humans...
